"Calculation" team invited "APXIV" and now they are a part of Copenhagen Art Week!

This is a great news for us and we are in a hurry to share the program of events and to introduce "APXIV"!

APXIV (archive) is an independent self-organization of artists founded in January 2017 and located on the territory of the NIIDAR
(Scientific and Research Institute for Long-Distance Radio Communications) in the premises of the former archive.

APXIV was founded to create its own and collaborating with other art environments. In their works, the artists of APXIV focus on the artistic process and try to get away from the standard approach to exhibition practices. For example, all exhibitions are held in the format
of a one-day event, and the exhibitions often take the form of a single statement.

From 10-14th of October Calculation is being a part of the VIII Tashkent International Biennale for Contemporary Art 2018.

In connection with the official theme of this year's biennale is “Art and technologies - Pros and Cons”, Calculation will be participating with Calculation LIVE – two online performances with related international artists.

The performative installation is meant as a combination of real and virtual presence in the exhibition space. Our goal will be to get online communication with artists from different countries, followed by object reflection in the form of exhibiting objects related to what the co-author creates in the LIVE format, as well as parallel commenting on what is happening to the public. Thus, we will create a space for correlation actions, with direct illustration of mutual actions, with reference to daily technologies, such as online connection.

Live-performances of the involved artists will be associated with the experience of understandi...

The exhibition is an encounter with a circular movement of varied orientations formed by Danish contemporary artists at the Street Art Museum in St. Petersburg. The artists are all part of the Danish art archive Artistoftheweek.dk, an inviting community where each artist gives rise to the next in a circulatory system—either encouraging the formation or taking parting turns in a circuit and continuum of a repeated path, collisions and rebirth.

The exhibition is an itinerary of continuous curves around an open center dealing with layers of inner realities, exploration of social landscapes, mythical governance and global intervention navigating possibilities of how art, the public and society can interact relationally.

The exhibition is initiated by the international platform Calculation. Project is based on intersecting artistic contacts between different countries in the field of contemporary art and is devoted to iterative interactions of general artistic representational process, ai...

Active preparations for collaboration with Danish artists.

The Paideia project is a hybrid educational platform that brings together practitioners
and theorists of contemporary art.
The purpose of education in the school - disclosure of creative potential of students
and formation of their author's aesthetics, necessary for the creation of their own works,
and for the perception and understanding of phenomena and processes of modern culture.
Contemporary artists are increasingly drawn to the theory, philosophical and aesthetic
concepts, which are used to interpret their own creativity. Theory, discourse is increasingly
in demand. Often, however, the appeal of the artist to the genre of commentary, ends up
in failure and confusion of meanings.
In the absence of art in the state educational institutions of courses and programs aimed
at formation of analytical and critical abilities, the artist must separate the acquisition
of General theoretical and reflective competence. At the sam...
